Digitalized Coal Blending Boosts Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction


Recently, the intelligent coal blending project for Unit 3 Boiler of Zhejiang Zheneng Yueqing Power Co., Ltd., undertaken by DaTongLongYuan, has fully finished on-site commissioning after comprehensive procedures including scheme refinement, equipment installation, system joint debugging and working condition testing. Supported by equipment linkage and automatic programs, it achieves precise blending and conveyance of various coal types, enabling dynamic adaptation to real-time operating conditions of the generating unit.




To address prevalent industry pain points: risks of coal bin distortion or even falling off caused by unbalanced material levels on both sides of partitioned bins leading to uneven bin loads, as well as coal spontaneous combustion and caking arising from coal accumulation outside the shrimp-bend bins, customized optimizations were carried out across three dimensions: equipment structure, operation workflow and control strategy. The solution completely eliminates the above recurring faults and effectively overcomes the drawbacks of traditional partitioned bin modes such as frequent coal blockages and uneven coal mixing.


Furthermore, the implementation process requires no modifications to the FSSS main protection and original control logic. The unit’s AGC automatic generation control system and air-coal ratio adjustment functions remain fully operational. Data on fuel consumption statistics and unit economic performance analysis are complete and accurate, fully guaranteeing the stability and reliability of the unit’s original operation system.
